Audit the system, the records and what happens in practice.
LBM Compliance audits are designed to test whether transport-compliance controls are working and whether the available evidence supports that conclusion. The scope can cover a full operation or focus on a defined risk area such as maintenance, safety inspections, defects, drivers’ hours or management controls.
We sample records, look for consistency, test whether responsibilities are clear and identify where a process is dependent on memory rather than a reliable system. Findings are prioritised so management can distinguish immediate risk from longer-term improvement.
From finding to closure
Each significant finding should have an owner, an action, a target date and an evidence requirement. That allows progress to be monitored and prevents the audit report becoming a document that is filed and forgotten.
Useful before problems become enforcement issues
Independent review is most valuable when it happens early. Regular audit and sampling can reveal drifting standards, overdue actions or weak evidence before they become embedded.
Where an audit is required for a specific statutory or scheme purpose, we will confirm whether LBM is authorised for that exact purpose. LBM Compliance does not currently present itself as a DVSA-authorised Earned Recognition audit provider.
