Operator Licence compliance is a management system, not a folder.
An Operator Licence brings ongoing undertakings and responsibilities. Good compliance depends on those responsibilities being translated into working controls: planned maintenance, effective safety inspections, defect reporting, driver management, appropriate records, competent people and management oversight.
LBM Compliance can review how those controls work in practice and whether the evidence tells the same story as the written procedure. We look for missed actions, inconsistent records, unclear ownership and gaps between what a policy says and what actually happens.
Roadworthiness and maintenance controls
Reviews can examine inspection planning, safety-inspection records, defect reporting, repair closure, maintenance-provider oversight, vehicle availability and the evidence used to show that roadworthiness is actively managed.
Driver and operational controls
Depending on scope, we can review driver records, training evidence, defect-reporting behaviour, drivers’ hours and working-time controls, escalation processes and management follow-up.
Management evidence
A strong system should make it easy to show who is responsible, what is monitored, what changed after a problem was found and how closure was verified. That audit trail is central to the LBM approach.
Official requirements and legal obligations remain defined by legislation, DVSA guidance and the Traffic Commissioners. Our role is to help operators turn those expectations into practical controls and evidence.
